CORY BARNHART COCOBOLO EIGHT POINT

As I mentioned in my description of Cory's 10-point "Illusion" cue (on another page), I'm impressed greatly with his work. The attention he pays to his fits and tolerances results not only in great looking cues, but in excellent hitting cues as well.  I think one of the strengths of his work is the sharp, crisp recut points that are the highlight of many of his cues.

This cue is a good example of what I'm talking about.  The sharp holly "boxed" points almost leap from the surface.  The cocobolo forms a subtle backdrop, adding a crispness to the points that Cory is so good at.  He adds a nice touch with his meticulous, silver inlaid dot ringwork.  His silver ringwork is so minute and so painstakingly done that it is always flawless.  The butt sleeve is solid cocobolo, making this a simple cue, but one with a lot of "curb appeal."
This cue has an attractive brown linen wrap with black speckles.  And, as with his other cues, Cory finishes this one with what I think "closes the deal" -- the 50 year-old air dried maple shafts with a 30 per inch grain count and his unique ferrule design.  It also has a pretty gold anodized radial pin.  In the end, all these details come together to produce a great playing and great looking cue.
This one weighs exactly 19oz and comes with two 13mm shafts.  It's a great cue for only $1,600.
