FUSION by BILL SCHICK
Built in 1999 by Bill Schick, this cue is a remarkable fusion of materials and design resulting in a stunning cue -- even by "Schick" standards.  Starting with an ebony nose and butt sleeve, Bill begins with four long points up and down of creamy white ivory separated by large wedges of spalted zabota burl.

Spalted zabota burl is a rare wood from Laos and Vietnam that has seldom been used in a cue.  Between all the points are geometric shapes of ivory overlaid with sixteen separate 14k gold inlays.  Add to this an almost uncountable number of small gold circles and gold ring work, and you have a remarkably complex cue coming together in a single unified design.

For enhanced playability, Bill built this cue with a solid flat-faced ivory joint.  As with all modern Schick cues, the steel pin has a small ivory nub on the end engraved with the always recognizable "S", designating it as one of Bill's creations.  It has a smooth black leather wrap, and is topped with Bill's special joint protectors.

Personally, I've seen many Schick cues, some with a bit more work, and some a little more expensive, but never have I seen one that comes together the way this one does.  It merges form with function in an almost magical way.  I'll put this cue up against almost any Schick I've seen, regardless of price.  (Bill recently told me that he wouldn't consider making this cue again for less than $10,000, and he'd have to think hard about even doing that.)

It is simply but elegantly matched with a black leather case by Dan Whitten, and is in NEW condition.
