ARIEL CARMELI
SIX POINT
EBONY & AMBOYNA BURL
SOUTHWEST STYLE

This is one of Ariel's very popular designs.  It's fairly simple by his usual standards, but by no means does that take away from its traditional beauty.  The "Southwest" style has become a mainstay of modern cue design, and its classic lines are never boring.

Not only is it a great design (and has been for forty years or more), its quiet grace is enhanced by the use of beautiful woods and today's elegant finishes.

This one uses six alluring points of amboyna burl into a gorgeous ebony nose.  Each point is elegantly veneered, framing the burl against the dark, sheer ebony.

He uses the same two woods in the butt sleeve in the very traditional design.

The smart choice of simple black and white veneers frames the points perfectly, giving just the right amount of contrast between the burl and ebony.

After several decades of building one of the strongest reputations in the custom cue business in southern California, this past year Ariel moved his shop across the country to Virginia and for more than six months he wasn't able to turn out any sticks.  This cue was among some of the first cues coming out of his new shop.

Again, in keeping with the "Southwest" tradition, he uses the simple railroad track ring pattern using white veneers and alternating  rectangles of matching wood.

The points are all sharp and even.

This design is known for its simple elegance and flowing lines.

The woods are subtle in this stick - the amboyna burl is beautifully toned in a honey colored brown with quiet burl, and the ebony is deliciously black.

He wraps the handle with a softly textured black leather that feels nice in the hand and looks great on the cue.

He builds in the ring pattern above the butt cap, below and above the handle, at the joint and on the ring collars of each shaft.

As with many of his sticks, it is fitted with a a receiver for an extension.  He uses the Migliore extension - the most popular one available.  (We do sell these extensions separately.)

It comes with two of Ariel's premium 13mm maple shafts with LBM melamine ferrules and Whitten medium layered tips.  It weighs 18.7 ounces (14.7, 4.0, 4.0) and is 58 inches long.  It's built with a 3/8 X 10 modified steel pin.
It comes with a set of Carmeli black delrin joint protectors with the Carmeli logo engraved on the tops.

This is a handsome cue that hits a ton - a soft, solid hit that gives great feedback to the shooter every shot.  It's made to play.
