ARIEL CARMELI BURL & EBONY CLASSIC
This is a new design by Carmeli that I really like. It's classy and elegant. The choices of wood contrast well. He uses black oak burl against deep black ebony in both the nose and the butt sleeve, and then adds classy little "fleur de lis" type inlay designs made of ivory and malachite.
The points in this cue are stunning. First, the color and grain of the burl is very pretty, and it displays elegantly against the black ebony background. Second, it is an unusual 8-point design - four long, four short - with maple and ebony veneers. Third, the long points have been recut with ebony points , and fourth, each of the recut ebony points has a nifty little inlay pattern of ivory and malachite.
| The butt sleeve complements the nose of the cue perfectly. It has burl boxes, or windows, with recut ebony boxes within, all circumvented by the same maple and ebony veneer pattern as in the points. And, the same basic inlay design is used, again of ivory and malachite.

The ringwork is vintage Carmeli - twin silver rings with ivory diamonds linking them together. These are at all locations, as well as on the shafts.

He finishes this cue with exquisite details, adding to its classy look (and value). He adds an ivory butt cap and ivory joint, and finishes with a nicely applied textured black leather wrap. This is a gorgeous cue, and the burl is some of the prettiest I've seen.

It comes with two 13mm shafts with linen-based melamine ferrules and Triangle tips. It weighs 19.0 ounces, and has a flat-faced joint with a modified 3/8 X 10 pin. This cue is an excellent buy at $3400. It looks great in a black leather GTF case.
