EDDIE COHEN
EBONY AND MAPLE
HOPPE-STYLE CUE
Here is a classic design by a great young cuemaker, Eddie Cohen. It's a traditional design - four ebony points into a maple nose with an ebony butt with a Hoppe-style butt cap. Eddie's cues are in extremely high demand right now, so here's a chance to get a very nice one without a long wait.
The four ebony points are perfectly framed with four layers of colorful veneers - black, red, green and maple. They're very reminiscent of old original Hoppe colors.
Each point contains the classic "Szamboti" style propeller inlay with two white dots. All white in this cue is LBM.
The design of the butt sleeve is as classic as you can get, with pure jet black ebony, a white Hoppe style ring and black butt cap. He engraves his logo (name) in the white ring.
He adds a nice black textured leather wrap to the handle. It's a nice complement to this stick, and it feels good when you hold it.
Eddie's cues have quickly developed a well-deserved reputation for their solid hit, and this one is no exception. It plays great.
| |
| As with almost all of his sticks, he builds this one with some special ringwork. In keeping with the simple, traditional design, he adds them only at the joint and on the ring collars of the shafts, but they are nice - white and black slot rings sandwiched between two thin, solid white rings. They are a very nice final touch to this classic design.
He builds it with a flat-faced LBM joint with his standard 3/8X10 steel pin. It comes with two 13mm shafts of premium maple with Tomahawk ferrules and Triangle tips. It weighs 19.1 ounces. Take advantage of a chance to get one of his cues - this one will not last long!
