EDDIE COHEN
MAPLE FOUR POINT WITH BLUE VENEERS
AND CHRYSACOLLA INLAYS

Here's another gorgeous cue from Eddie that shows why he's become one of the top cuemakers and his work is in such high demand.  It's a traditional four pointer, but it's been dressed up with lots of small details that make it very special.

This has been a popular design for him, and he makes one along these general lines each year.  But this is first one I've seen in which he uses the natural mineral chrysacolla for the inlays.

The Chrysacolla blue is a perfect match for the blue veneers and the blue in the rings, contributing to the great look of this handsome stick.  But the best feature is the outstanding playability of Eddie's cues, and this one hits with great touch and feel.

Eddie is somewhat unique in his penchant for long butt caps, like the white elforyn cap on this cue.  It's reminiscent of many of the old Tads, and gives many of his cues a distinctive look.  And as usual, he engraves his name.

Another enticing feature of this stick is the bridged points design.  Coupled with the striking blue veneers, they give this cue a resplendent look.

As always, his points are long, sharp and even, and his veneer work is exceptional.

The blue and black check rings, sandwiched between two white rings, are a striking addition.  And the chrysacolla is nicely figured, yet delicate.

The long black ebony points add a classy look, and the birdseye maple nose is nicely figured.  The veneer colors are black, blue, gray and natural wood.

I think the idea of framing the points with a black veneer on the outside, to match the ebony point inside, works really well on this cue.

A closer look at the wrap - it's a very comfortable wrap for long hours of play.

Lots of nice birdseye in the forearm.

He builds it with a white LBM joint that matches the material in the butt cap.  It has a 3/8X10 steel pin in a flat-faced configuration.  It comes with two 13mm premium maple shafts with Tomahawk ferrules and Kamui Black medium tips.  It weighs 19.3 ounces (15.5, 3.8 and 3.8).  It is 58 inches long.

This cue has been test-hit only, and is in new condition.  It's a great playing cue that looks terrific, and will give someone years of enjoyment.
