ED YOUNG FOUR POINT EBONY
Here is a beautiful cue from one of the most sought after cuemakers.  Ed Young is a protege of Kersenbrock, and in fact, Kersenbrock to this day works out of a shop in Young's basement.  His cues are well-built in the Kersenbrock tradition, and are very hard to find.

This is a very classy, simple cue.  Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary about the design ... just classy and elegant.  It is a six point (three long, three short) cue. The nose, points and butt sleever are all black Gabon ebony.  The points are all veneered with nice white holly.

The butt itself has four beautiful silver rings.  There are two more on the ring collars of the shafts.  Each ring is constructed of lots of very small silver squares sandwiched between two thin rings of holly.  What is outstanding about these rings is the way they catch the light.  When you move the cue around, they reflect the light almost like they are small diamonds.  I've never seen silver rings catch the light the way these do.

He embellishes the butt by adding a classy black lizard wrap.  It was definitely the right choice.  It adds to what already was an elegant look.

Staying with the "keep it simple" look of this cue, he builds in a short ivory butt cap and a short solid ivory joint.

He builds it with a 3/8X10 brass pin in a flat faced configuration.  Not only does this cue look good, it hits great as well.

It comes with two 13 mm shafts, and weighs 19.5 ounces.  It has ivory ferrules. I took this cue in trade, so it is not new.  However, one shaft has not been played, and the other just barely shows signs of being played (a little ingrained chalk in the wood).  The lightly played shaft has what looks to be a black Kamui tip, and the other has a non-layered tip, perhaps a Triangle (?).  It is very straight and there are no dings, scratches, etc.

PRICE:  $3300, NO CASE.
