| Paul Fanelli Butterfly Cue |
I've been a fan of Paul Fanelli's work for some time, but have recently come to appreciate it more fully. I had been waiting for my own special order cue for some time when Paul passed away, so I'm happy that I picked this one up when I could on the resale market. In addition to being a beautiful cue, it comes with four shafts -- two originals (unplayed), an OB-1, and a predator. All are custom made with matching ringwork, and all four shafts, and the butt, have matching, fancy joint protectors. This cue is a player's dream.

| In addition to all the other extras, this is one of the few Fanellis made with what he called "Celtic Rings." These are floating, interweaved rings circumventing the cue, in this case, at the butt just above the butt cap. Trying to follow them around with the eye and figure out how he did it is a bit of a mind-bender.

This cue weighs in at about 19 ounces, and all the shafts are 13mm (or very close). As you can imagine, with the OB-1 and the Predator shafts it plays somewhat differently than with the original shafts. They do a good job of eliminating deflection, if that's what you like. I'm not a fan of these kinds of shafts, because I think they take away a lot of the natural flexibility and life that a cue should have if it's going to play well -- epecially when you need extra action to move the cue ball around the table. But... that's just my opinion. I know a lot of people love to get rid of any deflection a cue may have.
I just had this cue refinished, so it's in great condition. Now that Paul is gone (RIP) his cues will undoubtedly jump in value.
SPECIAL PRICE: $3800 (Includes the two extra shafts with fancy joint protectors valued at about $600.00.)
