ANDY GILBERT FOUR POINT BLUE ARROW
|
This is another cue from the "Recollection Series" made exclusively for me by Andy Gilbert. Common to all cues in this series is the Hoppe-style butt cap with a LBM ring (simulated ivory) lined with veneers that match the veneers framing the points. Beyond that, the cues differ greatly with regard to types of woods and wraps. These cues are a great value from a great cuemaker.

I named this cue the Blue Razor because of the striking blue veneer that frames the points and the Hoppe ring in the butt sleeve. It has some nicely grained ebony in the butt, along with the points, which fade into the pretty birdseye maple nose. It is finished with a textured black leather wrap and an LBM (ivory look-alike) joint sleeve. Some people only like ebony that is sheer, totally black showing no grain. This is not of that type. The ebony shows some grain and has character.

This is another cue from Andy that hits a ton and looks good. I especially like the blue veneer in this one - it's subtle, but striking. There's some nice ringwork at joint as well - simple, but classy.

| This cue comes with two 13mm shafts with Andy's custom taper. It has been built with a flat-faced joint with a 3/8 X 10 pin, and weighs 19.6 ounces. It's a nice cue at a price that won't break the budget: $1300, plus shipping.
