Gilbert Six Point Birdseye Maple Cue |
This is one of four cues I had Andy make which are designed for the player who is looking for a good playing cue by a top cue maker that is very affordable. Andy is one of the few top cue makers who still takes pride in putting good cues in the hands of players at a lower price. This is definitely one of those cues. Each cue has been finished with a traditional Hoppe-style butt cap, resulting in an attractive, veneered cue with a sharp look.

The thing I like about all of the cues in this series is that the colored rings around the phenolic "Hoppe" ring match the veneers in the points. It's a simple idea that Andy came up with that really brings the cue together. The thing I like specifically about this particular cue is the six point design and the way the points come together perfectly at the top of the wrap, almost like a true full splice cue.

Like the other cues in this series, this one is built with an ivory joint and a 3/8 X 10 pin that Andy uses almost exclusively. It has a nice textured black leather wrap, and it all comes together into a cue that plays great. It's a relatively simple cue by a great cue maker, and very affordable. It weighs about 19oz and has two 13mm shafts.
PRICE: $1200.00
