ERNIE'S TRADITIONAL CLASSIC (16A) SNAKEWOOD & BIRDSEYE MAPLE
|
This cue has always been one of my Ginacue favorites. It's a very traditional cue, by Gina standards, with a classic birdseye maple nose and butt, with four long creamy white ivory points up and down, alternating with four highly figured snakewood inlays in between, all framed in five tiers of brightly colored veneers.
|
This design is further accentuated with special beauty rings of alternating squares of pure silver and ivory. If you're one of the people who still like to see birdseyes and grain in the wood of your cue, and like a traditional design, this is a great choice.

That's not to say this is a "plain Jane" kind of cue. In fact, I added even more extras - including an ivory joint, ivory butt plate, black pigskin wrap (with Ernie's flawless seam work), and special ivory joint protectors. The "extras" alone in this cue priced out at over $1100. However, considering the flair they add to the look of this cue, I think they were worth it.

| I love the contrast in this cue of the bright veneers and snakewood against the maple. And the ivory and the special rings set it all off. As usual with Ernie, the work is flawless, and after test hitting a few balls with it, it also displays the great hit that earned Ernie his reputation years ago.

With a wait time for Ginacues now at two years, this cue is priced fairly at $7,930. It comes with the special Whitten Ginacue case, is brand new and unchalked. It weighs right at 19 ounces, is 58" long, and comes with two perfectly turned 13mm shafts with ivory ferrules. It is numbered and cataloged by Ernie so that it can be tracked in the future.
