GINACUE MODEL 14B
IN EBONY AND MAPLE
Here is Ernie's full description of this cue from an original 2003 Price List:
Black African Gabon ebony in both forearm and butt with 8 rock-hard bird's eye maple prongs. All prongs are crowned with delicate cloverleaves highlighted with black Tahitian pearl. Ivory joint and a black linen grip are standard. NOTE: Black leather is a good complement to this cue.
This cue was made in 2002. For the most part it is the standard 14A; however, a nice textured leather wrap was substituted for the standard linen. It is in "NEW" condition, i.e., it appears to have never been played. No dings, scratches, etc., and the shafts show no sign of play. It looks like it could have come out of the Ginacue shop yesterday.
| Although this picture doesn't show it well, the cue is signed in Ernie's "shadow signature" style under the finish on the ebony nose just below the joint. It is unobtrusive and can be seen when looked for, but isn't really noticeable unless you're looking for it.
| It has the standard Ginacue pin, with an ivory joint that shows nice grain.
| This cue comes with two 13mm shafts with ivory ferrules, each of which 4.4 ounces, indicating very old, tight grained wood that is difficult to come by in cues made today. I hit some balls with this cue, and I can tell you it hits phenomenally well, probably partly due to these outstanding shafts.
It weighs 19.0 ounces (light for a Gina). PRICE: $4600
NOTE: THIS CUE DOES NOT COME WITH A CASE.
