This case is certainly unique, but also, it is very special. Farm raised crocodile is coveted for luxury items such as high quality shoes, boots and women's purses. However, due to the nature of raising crocs in captivity, they are rarely available in the size needed to showcase it properly on a 2X5 case. Recently though, the folks at Jill Hawk found a 57 cm Grade 1 hide of farm raised South African Crocodile.

Products made from such premium hides normally sell for impressive prices in the luxury market. The people at Jill Hawk, Jill and Clyde, are attempting to position themselves at the pinnacle of case design and construction, and cases like this confirm they are doing exactly that.

This case employs a single crocodile hide to construct the entrie case. It is hand stitched and built around a 2X5 Ultrapad interior. It is the first case they have made "entirely" of crocodile. This is the first time it has been publicly offered for sale, or even shown.

While there have been a few cases built along the line of a 2X4 or 2X5 with wild American alligator, we don't know of any other case built using the more coveted farm raised crocodile. Its texture is soft to the touch and the character is through the roof.

This case features cutout windows framed in hand stitching, showcasing hornback scutes on both sides of the lid, and beautifully flank sections of the leather on the stand-alone accessory pouch.

There is real lamb shearling on the shoulder pad, and also inside the lid. It looks nice, and it's very, very comfortable.

The side handle on this case is the best I've seen. It's extremely comfortable to grip, and built for durability. It looks like a handle you'd find on a very expensive briefcase.

The hardware is all brass and top-quality.

The stand-alone accessory pouch is a novel butterfly design and quite user-friendly. It is accentuated by an all leather tray with velcro dividers. There are several comfortable options for attaching this pouch to the case when carrying it, or it can be carried separately. When you get where you're going you can unhook it, lay it on a table and have easy access to your odds and ends.

The pouch is fully zippered on three sides for easy access, and the velcro dividers can be arranged to suit your needs.

This is an amazing case. The work is of incredibly quality, from the premium Grade 1 crocodile leather to the flawless hand stitching. The amount of effort, thought and work that went into the design and building of this case shows just how serious Jill and Clyde are about being the best of the best. This case isn't for everybody, but if you want the best, this is it.
