JOHN BARTON (JB) CASES

"ROLLS ROYCE" EDITION

This is a very nice JB Case made in 2009 from John's Rolls-Royce line of cases.  The cases in this line all follow the same basic design plan, but each has different leathers and different detail.

This is a classy looking case with two pockets, and a side zipper on the large pocket for a jump butt.  It has the side handle, top handle, and a nice, well-made strap with pad.  The interior of John's cases are outstanding -- very soft and cushy, and made so that the shafts and butts all fit snug without rattling around.  They provide great cue protection.

Because I got a great buy on this case, I can sell it for a great price.  It originally retailed for about $600, and I'll take $550.  And, no wait!  (Cases from JB are all custom-made, and generally require lengthy wait times, for good reason.  It takes time to make cases of this quality.)

JOHN BARTON "ELEMENTS" CUSTOM C
ASE

This is simply an outstanding case.  Designed by John Barton and carved by one of his master carvers in China, it has a western theme and features outstanding designs and workmanship.  It is very fully carved, including the top, the strap and strap pad, and even some details inside the case.

This case recently sold, but I thought I'd leave pictures up for a short time, since it is such an unusual item, and worth looking at.

The "engineering" in this case is very well thought out.  There are two very ample pouchs, and inside the top one are special compartments to hold a couple of pieces of chalk and joint protectors.  Alongside the bottom pouch is a separate compartment with its own zipper for a short jump cue butt.

The top cap opens easily and stays out of the way when inserting or removing cues.  It also features his special friction and magnet closure, which eliminates the need for a metal clasp.  It's very strong and is easy to use.

There are tons of extra details built into this case.   The bottom is covered with a rubber pad to reinforce and protect it.  And inside a small oval in the bottom is the signature of the Chinese carver.  His work is excellent -- deep and detailed, and the leather quality is outstanding.
