JACK JUSTIS/RON ROSS
COLLABORATION CASE
♦  ♦  ♦

Once again I'm happy to be able to offer a beautiful 2X4 case that is the result of another collaboration between Jack Justis and Ron Ross.  Justis, of course, is a world-famous cue case maker, while Ross is a world-reknowned saddle engraver.  With Jack doing the case construction, and Ross doing his classic tooling, it's hard to go wrong.

I picked this case up at the International Cue Collector Show in Atlanta, and I felt it was the stand-out case Jack had on display.  It caught my eye immediately.  It is coal-black with white diamonds on the front pockets - the combination is striking.

As you would expect with tooling from Ross, it is elegant and tasteful. The white diamonds provide a nice accent.

As with almost all Justis case, it has a nice side strap and handle, as well as a handle on top.  On the front, it has one large 16" pocket and one smaller 8" pocket above it.

I like the way they took the time to fully tool the parts of the case which are often overlooked, like the top of the cap, and the shoulder strap pad.  At the bottom, Jack adds a metal ring which is a nice aesthetic accent, and serves a very functional purpose of keeping the bottom of the case from breaking down over time.  I can't tell what the metal is - it looks like it might be nickel silver, but may be a brushed aluminum.  Either way, it's a nice feature.  I played out of a Justis case for years, and I noticed that the area of his case that showed wear first was the bottom, from being contantly battered on the ground everytime it is set down.  This prevents that.

This, of course, is a new case, so it is ultra-light and contains his great new interior which really protects a stick.  It's a 2X4 configuration - ideal to play out of, or keep at home for storing cues and just appreciating its beauty.  It comes with the custom cloth "Justis Case" bag for storage or shipping.  These "collaboration" cases between Justis and Ross are very collectible, and yet can be used and enjoyed on an everyday basis and still hold their value.  This one is a beauty - don't miss it.
