Recollection Cues

I was fortunate to purchase a small number of these original vintage posters from the Mosconi family.  They are in "mint" condition, considering the age and the difficulty of maintaining paper products in good condition over the years.  They have clean, untorn edges, with no folding creases.  They were somehow maintained all these years in a flat condition, with only a small roll mark where they were lightly rolled over, which disappears when framed.  (There were several others sold at auction, but these were the only ones rated in "mint" condition.)

Each poster comes with a photocopy of a letter of provenance signed by Willie Mosconi's son for absolute authentication.

Willie Mosconi is not only recognized as the greatest pool player of all time, but he was widely acclaimed for his exhibitions.  Posters such as these were mailed ahead to cities in which he was to appear, and they were posted in pool halls and other public areas to publicize his coming exhibition.  Typically these were tacked and nailed to walls, and later torn down, seldom rolled up and carefully saved for posterity.  These posters in this condition are a rare find.  (Even rough ones are hard to find.)
