CHRIS NITTI
BLACK AND WHITE EBONY
MERRY WIDOW
|
Here is another gorgeous merry widow cue from Chris Nitti in Florida. As I have said when describing other Nitti cues, I always like his merry widows because they always seem so classy for a stick in their price range. The finish is excellent, and the clean, precise details just always make them look a little better than other cues in their class.

This is one of the prettiest merry widow cues I've ever seen. I was tempted to add it to my own collection instead of putting it in inventory, I like it so much. I've always loved good black and white ebony. It's rare to find it so highly figured as the piece in this cue. This is truly exceptional.

It was difficult to stop taking pictures of this one, so I've included quite a few with the description. I've tried to add views from all perspectives. No matter which way you turn it, it's gorgeous.

He adds his favorite rings made from LBM (linen based material), and puts them above and below the wrap, at the joint, and on the ring collars of each shaft. Then, at the butt, he adds a Hoppe-style LBM ring above a black phenolic butt cap. Very classy - from start to finish.
|
He wraps it with a black linen with white specks. It's fairly tightly pressed and feels good in the hand.
|
He signs and dates it under the finish in a light area of the wood just above the wrap.

| This cue will make someone a great playing stick that will get "wows" every time you take it out of the case. He builds it with a flat-faced wood-to-wood joint with a stainless steel radial pin. It comes with two 13mm shafts with Moori medium tips. It weighs 18.6 ounces.
