CHRIS NITTI CLASSIC 6-POINT
BIRDSEYE MAPLE CUE

You can tell by the number of Chris Nitti cues I have that I'm a big believer in his work.  He is one of the cuemakers that I'm exceptionally proud to represent.  Although his cues are very well-known in the southeast, he is still "under the radar" in some parts of the country.

I think his cues play extremely well, his work is tight, and they have a traditional look that I really like.  For some time, I've wanted to offer a couple of his higher-end cues, and at the recent International Cue Collector Show in Sarasota, I picked up two beauties.  This one of them.

This cue is fancy, yet subtle.  It's Chris' variation on a classic design, and he did a great job.  He starts with a birdseye maple nose and adds six points - three long and three short.  The long ones are of ebony enclosed with four layers of veneer - yellow, orange, brighter orange and finally, ebony.  Each long point contains a classic propellor design in ivory.  The short points are of pure white ivory lined with ebony veneer.

The butt sleeve is of ebony with cleanly mitred veneers that match those around the ebony points.  Each box contains an ivory propellor pattern, and between each box is a classy pointed oval of more ivory.

The ring pattern matches the veneer colors and the rings are repeated at butt, above and below the wrap, at the joint and also on the shafts.

To finish off this beautiful cue, Chris added a solid ivory joint, an ivory butt cap and a nicely textured black leather wrap.  It really is a great looking cue.

It comes with two 13mm shafts with ivory ferrules, and weighs 19.3 ounces with either shaft.  Like all Nitti cues, it comes with a set of weight bolts that let you vary the weight slightly.  It has a flat faced joint with a radial pin, and is priced at $3375.  There's a ton of ivory in this cue for that money!

This cue looks great coming out of a black Whitten case.  With the case, it's $3625.
