I was fortunate to find this great old pill bottle, and it brought back lots of memories of old "Kelly Pool" games I played long ago. This one was a real find -- it's by Brunswick-Balke-Collender, and under the name, says "Manufacturers of Pocket Billiard Tables." On the reverse, it has a sketch of a bulldog, and around it is written "Bull Dog Brand -- Shake Bottle." It's in great shape and has the original old pills still with it.
(I'll never see a Kelly pill without thinking of "Kelly Bob" Wallace, an old time pool player from St. Louis who loved the game, and always kept his kelly pill in his ear while playing. He was a great character.)

Pictured opposite is an original old can of billiard room talcum powder like I used to see in old billiard rooms. I'm not sure of the age, but I believe it's from the fifties. I show it here with the leather pill bottle described above, but this picture shows the wording on the reverse: "Bull Dog Brand."

This is an outstanding old child's table. There's no manufacturer indicated anywhere, but it's obvious it was a quality product. It's still in great condition, and has the original balls, rack and one stick with it. The pockets are sack pockets made of string, and they're still all intact. The rails are real rubber. It measures 26X50 inches.
