DAVIS-PRINCE "DIAMOND FLUSH"
|
This is another pretty cue from the liaison of John Davis and Tim Prince. Made from a full splice Davis blank and finished by Tim Prince, this is a very well-made cue that has the looks to match.
This cue started with an ebony butt sleeve and ebony points going into a pretty curly maple nose.
As with all Davis blanks the veneers are sharp and distince and the points are perfect. I particularly like the veneer colors in this cue - maple, brown, green and red.
|
The butt sleeve is inlaid with four large diamonds, four smaller diamonds, and sixteen small dots, all of elforyn. Each point is inlaid with a spearhead pattern with one dot above and three dots below. Again, all elforyn.
| |
| On their newer cues, they have begun to engrave the Hoppe-style ring on the butt cap with their names and the date the cue is made.
They add a nicely textured black leather wrap which is perfect on this cue.
|
They build this one with their standard 3/X10 stainless steel pin with a flat-faced wood to wood joint. The joint has the double black phenolic ring, with a small diamond inlay ring pattern, allowing the shafts to be made without a ring. This allows their shafts to be interchangeable.
| |
This stick comes with two 13mm shafts with short LBM ferrules and Ultra tips. It weighs 18.8 ounces. It looks good and plays even better.
PRICE: $1875
Note: This cue qualifies as an IvoryFree© cue.
