Not much I need to say about this stick - it's reputation precedes it. Tim Scruggs may not have invented the Sneaky Pete, but his construction of them put them firmly in the mainstream. Originally intended as a stick that would pass as a house cue to the casual observer, the "Sneak" was built to be a good quality playing cue without giving that fact away.

As time marched on, Sneaky Petes picked up a few features to make them a little more attractive (and expensive), like butt caps, perhaps a phenolic joint, and maybe even a ring or two. But this one is the real deal, an original old sneaky Pete that really does look like a house cue.

Built by Tim Scruggs, however, this cue is anything buy common. He used his knowledge of cue construction to make this cue play like a much more expensive cue. He started it but cutting the butt off an original old house cue, and then added his own joint and shaft. It has good balance, a great hit and is an excellent back up cue, or simply the cue you keep in your car when you don't want to bring out your expensive one.

These are hard to find these days. Collectors snapped a lot of them up, and the rest are being used to their fullest by lots of good players. This one has a Lepro tip, with a melamine ferrule. It weighs 19.0 ounces. It's straight and in excellent condition, although it has seen a little play, but not much, judging from the shaft. There is an original knot under the finish on the back side by the points (see pic), but keep in mind this was made from a house cue, and it only adds to its authenticity.
